I'm thankful to be in America over the holidays. This is what America has looked like over the past month...

I live on "the island of a thousand Mosques" but I think there are a thousand churches here.

Family old and new...
Great food!

Meeting old and new friends and getting to speak at many different places, which has been a huge blessing! I love that!

More southern cooking!

Cool weather, Disney princes,

and more great food! I am thankful to be here but so thankful to live where I do and to have the privilege of doing the job I do. So many of you make that possible and I want to thank you too!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Leni still needs to eat more protein and vegetables but she is growing, walking, and growing up. She's making "calls" with her mom's cell phone as she visits her little neighbour.

A lot of people have asked me what my house looks like. This is NOT my house. This is a house in a traditional village. People do still live in houses like this but my house is a good bit more modern. Come on, I'll show you. :o) My front room where guest sit.

My guest room, with room for you to come and stay. But you would hear the Mosque at 5:30am.

My front yard. I'm safe here, when I say I have really close and really nosy neighbours, I'm not teasing.
My upper class sit down pottie and toilet paper box that I got for my birthday. It holds 8 rolls!

The roof on the right is mine, the left is the boarding house the tin in the center is where the old lady that gets upset if I don't tell her where I'm going lives.

My kitchen.

And my living room where the kids play when they come over. So now you've seen most of my house. My room is normally messy and a bit hard to get a good photo of and I didn't take a photo of my junk room which is where I dry my laundry most of the time. :O)

My buddy at 18 months old and now she's 4.

Idul Fitri (the celebration of the end of the fast) in 2008 and 2010.

Sweet Netta, I think she might be one of the most beautiful little girls I've ever seen.

When she had her head shaved.

This was on Neta's first birthday.

Weddings, pregnancies, and babies.

This is how long I've been living on my island among sweet friends. It's special to be a part of so many of their most special times. Now I'm back in the US tyring to catch up on some of the events that I've missed out on while being over there.
