I got to go and spend the night in a village with a friend. She and the kids decided it'd be fun to go bath in the river. Most everyone took their sope and shampoo. Bathing attire was optional but no matter the age or lack of clothing everyone was happy to have their photo taken.

It was a foolish move on my part. I knew it would be hard but I was told, "you go up for a little way and then the rest of the time your going back down hill." And would take about 5 hours. All that was true but I'm not a hiker. And I really wasn't ready but I went anyway. About half an hour into the hike I thought I'd made a terribly mistake and tried to talk my friends into letting me go back down and hitch hike home. But they talked me into going to the top and going down wasn't as bad. So I survived and came home with sweet memories and some photos that don't quite do what we could see justis.
This is what some of the "trail" looked like.

American candy!
There is lots of candy here but the kids and parents too were excited to get to taste some kinds that they don't have here.
Brothers investigating and disusing the fruit roll-ups.

Tiffa is happy but trying to hide her teeth when she smiles because she has cavities. Ray and Sponge Bob are happy too.

Agis is enjoying her Reesee cup by squeezing the melted chocolate out an open corner in the package. I think Mida had already eaten all her candy.
My friend needed to go to this village about 2 hours from where we live. She didn't want to go by herself so I went along as the driver. Parts of the road were pretty bad and the mud was so bad in some parts that she had to git off and walk as I attempted to drive through (only getting the bike stuck twice). As we wound up through the hills and dodged the deepest of the pot wholes, we could look down below at green hills surrounding blue coves, miles of untouched beaches. That and the opportunity for my friend to tell some of the people the story of God providing a way for us to be forgiven, made the mud and sore "bums" completely worth it.

This is what heads of the rice grain look like.

Several people asked me about what rice looks like when it is grown. This is the sun coming up on a rice field just a day or two before it was harvested.

These faces make me smile.

Ray (3) and Agis (4), each on one of my hands pulling in opposite direction, "come to my house Tanta Pru." It's really good to be back.

New babies and big girls.

Fill the bucket,

lift it with your friends,

and carry it on your head to the construction sight.

I got to go to the circus for the first time! And there was a rainbow over the tent!
