This is what happened to us... we made a dumb mistake and overstayed our visa 10 days.  It's not a real big deal, we just had to pay a fine but fine X 10 X 2 = BIG mistake.  But we were trapped like this little bird and all we could do was pay the fine.  Then I was talking to a friend living in another country about how she felt helpless because she had to have input from 3 people before she could make decisions....  Sometimes living over seas is just summed up by this painting.
