Weddings here are a family affair.  Aunts, cousins, and grandmothers all help start the cooking about three days before the ceremony.
The brides family provides meals and snacks for the family that comes to help.  Netta's dad is feeding her her breakfast.
Coconuts have to be hacked out of their shells.
 Lunch duties.
Pealing the coconut after it's shell has been removed.
 Chicken washing section.
Now the day of the wedding, everybody gets all dressed up.  This is Journey's "Niniq" and her "cousin" Nabila.  (Journey is 6 months old and Nabila is 9 months.)
Sister-in-lay and youngest sister of the bride.
Mother of the bride with her baby girl.

The bride is ready and waiting as everyone else gets ready.

This is traditional dress for this island but only little girls ware it now.  It's considered too sexy for grown up ladies to ware.  It's low cut and shows your midriff.

My buddy Agis with her mom waiting on the groom and new step dad to get to the mosque.
A family affair!
