August 17 was this country's 68th birthday!  Happy Independence Day!

Merdeka!

 This is Mr. Fisherman and his wife.  Hector's had a break from meeting with him during the fasting month but they will began to meet again now that it is over.  The invited us to there house for breakfast, celebrating the end of fasting.

 Everyone is still visiting and eating after the fasting month.  Journey's playing ball with one of her buddies.

 The fasting month is now over and today is Idul Fitri.  Families dress up, visit, and eat.

 I took this photo over our gate.  This was the meeting place for the end of fast parade.  There was a loud speaker and 100 or so people all chanting "Allahuakbar!" at 9pm.
