The PLAN was to go with one friend to visit some other friends and be home by 2:00....

We ended up going an hour and a half later than we planed to and had a very short visit with our friends....

Then my friend got the call that a baby had been born and she needed to pick it up.....

Then with the newborn in the car we get an urgent call about my friends daughter.  So we get back to her house a soon as we can.  She has food caught in her throat and is coughing, gaging, and crying.  She goes to the emergency room.....

Later I run over to the emergency room to take the daughter some things and pick up another friend.

Some time after 4:00 I get home.

The daughter of my friend came home later that night and was fine, but back to the newborn... Her birth mom couldn’t keep her so after 8 years of waiting I got to help bring brand new Graciela to her new forever mommy and daddy.  Definitely the highlight of a day that didn’t go as planed!

Yesterday the island voted for Governor. Some friend are voting for the current Governor, explaining "Better the snake you know than the one you don't know."

 We meet this little guy at the hospital when another friend had a baby.  He has a cleft lip and YKP (We Care Foundation) that we work with will help him get the operation to close it up in a few months.

 He's 9 day's old here and we were invited to his naming ceremony.  He'll be called Robby.

 After Arabic prayers by the men he was given his name.  Then he was taken an waved over some food.  Each little boy "held" him after than and then all the little boy's ate together.

 We got to go to a little island and spend the day with some friends.  It was a great day to snorkel, eat, and play in the sand.

 The fish are amazing... much better than these photos show.

 And my girl's big enough now to play in the sand.

Snorkeling anyone??? :o)
