I loaded my photos backward, so this is a typical wedding from finish to start.  We eat together with our hands.
Each guest gets their own plate of rice and then four people share the other dishes.  This is the modern version, in some places four guests are served on tray of rice to be shared.
Food appears as fast and the family can bring it out.
The groom gives the bride her dowry.  She got some gold and the cloths Muslim women put on when they pray.
The bride sits quietly behind the groom.  She doesn't say anything during the official ceremony and sometimes the brides don't even get to come.

The groom and the bride's father hold hands and exchange vows.
All your friends, neghbours and relatives, come.  This is the men's seating section.
Just like us, they get all dressed up and take lots of photos. :o)  That's what a wedding is like.  Congratulations Hop and his new bride!

Hand made pottory is one of the things this island is known for, it has even made it to  Pier One from time to time.  It's beautiful to watch skilled hands shape the clay into something beautiful.

Lunch.  Hector liked the fish, it comes fresh and cleaned.  And the bag behind the fish is for soup.  It turned out well and all comes by my gate several times through the morning in a big bucket on top of ladies heads.  I just go to my front porch and pick out what I want for that day.
