We finally have an English class in a village on the beach.  The kids are sweet 2-4th graders.
This photo didn't turn out as good as I had hoped but past the kids are fishing boats and just beyond them is the sea.

"You want to send me where?"

We still do cultural things.  But sometimes we can't or don't take photos.  We went to a funeral the other night and were seated in a room empty with only a bed in it.  We chatted with family a few family members as the rest chanted Arabic prayers.  Then I noticed the body covered with a sheet in the bed we were seated next to.  We had dinner in the dark, the power went out, sitting in the floor next to the dead man.

Proud in polyester.... and my momma and aunts wanted to throw it away. :o(
On Christmas eve we celebrated with "family" from 5 countries

and with lots of cookies.  Journey helped me make some wrapping paper for a gift.

Christmas morning we read the Christmas story and then opened gifts.

Journey got a Nativity set, some rattles, a new baby doll, and a few other toys.
The day after Christmas (Australian's Boxing day) we had a turkey lunch with "family" again.  Journey and Isaac finally got to play together and Journey shared her best tasting fingers with Isaac.

I took Journey to hear music coming from down the street and found that it was a Balinese Hindu funeral.

 1st time in the ocean!

1st time swimming!  (The float really dose go around her neck. It's supposed to be that way.)

Being this sweet is hard work! :o)
Our team time away was really nice.  The change of pace, change of scenery, and the chance to spend 3 relaxed days together was a sweet treat.
We went to the beach on the southern part of the island.
We had time to sing, share, and do devotions together.

 And had time relaxing and...

having fun! :o)

It's not about who's been naughty.....

or nice.....

Or about who's "coming to town."
It's about what the angels proclaimed!

A baby born that was the savior of the world!
It is Christmas because of HIM!  Merry Christmas!
