This was the last day the girl in the front was going to be 20-something. So we celebrated her 20 and started out her 30's by eating a lot. :o)

These are two of my little friends. When I was still walking to language school every day and they would see me they would jump up and down on the sidewalk calling to me until I came over. The only problem being that they don't speak the national language and I couldn't speak their language then. I'm still not great but I have gotten better. And they are still just a cute.

The Hindu's on this island will celebrate Nypi tomorrow. Today they marched on the street with floats of monsters to scare all the demons away and after that they will remain completely silent for 24 hours in hopes that the demons don't find their way back to them. It sounds a little bit funny but they really are trying. The sad thing is that Wednesday they will start making offering again to the spirits.

I finally got to get up on a roof and see how it's done here. It took a little while for me to convince the men that I could do it but now I have a basic understand of how it works if I ever need to fix a roof here. :o)

Still more celebrating the prophet Mohammad's birthday. These are all people gathered for a hair cutting ceremony. There might have been 100 babies in this one neighbourhood. Tatah had her hair trimmed and in a month or two her parents will shave her bald.

Below is where I live but faces like these are why I live here.

I stole this photo from my friend, she took it but it's so good I wish I had taken

it. :o) This is where I live.

My friend wrote this book. I have not read it but my friend is a smart man with a lot of exsperience living overseas and doing important work. He also said if he sold a millian copies he would help me with my visa problems. He was kidding but I'd like to try and hold him to it.

If your want to know more you can find more info about this book on Amazon or even order your self and your friend one. :o)
